I have planted hundreds of sweet crabapple from CSF. As yet I see (about 8-10 year for the earliest plantings) no sign of disease. They were planted on the border of zones 4 and 5, possibly too far north for fire blight. Do you have any information on disease resistance for sweet crabapple? So far I'd rate 5 stars due to incredibly low price points. I am submitting a series articles to "Deer and Deer Hunting" Magazine on the subject of planting trees and shrubs for wildlife. Thus far they seem potentially interested in publishing. I also plan to author a book on the same subject eventually. I do my best to represent Cold Stream Farm very well. I can't find a nursery offering better value across a wide spectrum of plants. If you like, I could send you an advance preview of what I am writing. I've used CSF for more than a decade now, I've ordered several thousands of seedlings over that time. Suggestion: offer un-grafted Dolgo Crabapple. Only CSF might undercut the Chief River Nursery price.
